Bad weather, court fees and cancellation
In the event of bad weather, I’ll call or message if cancellation is necessary. Always assume your booking
will take place unless you hear from me.
Court bookings are made online by me, often well in advance
to ensure availability, and paid for at the time of booking
rather than on the day of play.
I operate a 48-hour notice cancellation policy but would
appreciate more notice where possible. I generally charge
the full lesson fee i.e. coaching fee and court fee if given less than 48 hours’ notice.
There’s no coaching
charge for lessons cancelled with at least
48 hours' notice but the court fee remains payable if I've
paid it before receiving notice of cancellation, and if LB Camden,
which runs the courts at Kilburn Grange and Waterlow Park,
refuses my request for a court fee credit.
In the event of bad weather-related cancellations, I make court fee credit requests, which again are granted at the discretion of LB Camden.
So for the avoidance of doubt, while I don't charge a coaching
fee for lessons cancelled with at least
48 hours' notice or because of bad weather, the court fee
may still be payable - sorry!
