A bit about me

I'm a freelance tennis coach accredited by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) having attained their Level 3 Coach qualification. Additionally, I'm qualified through the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR), the largest global organisation of tennis teachers and coaches.

As an accredited coach I undergo regular Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks, am first aid trained, fully insured and abide by the LTA's code of conduct. I'm also trained in safeguarding and protection of children and adults at risk.

I've been a tennis fan since childhood. My all-time favourite player is John McEnroe but don't read too much into that: I have a calm and good-humoured demeanour on court and enjoy an excellent rapport with my students - children and adults alike. My lessons are well-planned and tailored to the ability and needs of the player.

Prior to coaching, I mostly enjoyed a lengthy career as a barristers' clerk, punctuated by a 3-year sabbatical spent teaching English in Cracow, Poland.

In 2018, I graduated from Birkbeck, University of London with a degree in Latin American studies.

And another thing...
